GreenWallet Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. This page explains what data GreenWallet handles, how it is used, and your rights.

What data we collect

GreenWallet is designed to keep your financial data private.

• Transactions and categories you enter are stored only on your device. We do not upload, read, or sync your financial records to any server.
• Device passcode and biometric settings (Face ID / Touch ID) are handled by iOS and never leave your device. We never see or store your passcode.
• Anonymous usage analytics — see below.

Analytics and crash reports

To improve the app and fix bugs, GreenWallet uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics by Google. These services collect anonymous, aggregated data:

• Which screens are opened and which actions are performed (for example, that a transaction was added — never what the transaction was)
• Device model, iOS version, app version, language
• Crash reports and diagnostic information when the app unexpectedly stops

These services also collect a device-level identifier (IDFV, provided by iOS) that allows Firebase to distinguish one device from another in aggregate statistics — it does not identify you as a person.

This data contains no personal information and no financial records. It cannot be used to identify you.

Data retention

Your transactions and categories are stored on your device for as long as the app is installed; deleting the app removes them permanently. Anonymous analytics events and crash reports are retained by Google in accordance with Firebase's data retention policies.

Face ID and Touch ID

If you enable App Lock, GreenWallet uses Face ID or Touch ID to unlock the app. All biometric authentication happens locally on your device through iOS. GreenWallet never receives or stores your biometric data.

Your rights

• Delete your data at any time. Because your transactions are stored only on your device, deleting the app from your iPhone erases all of them permanently.
• Request deletion of analytics data. If you would like the anonymous analytics data associated with your device removed from our systems, contact us using the email below and we will remove it.
• We do not sell your personal information to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party.
• Request information. You may contact us using the email below to request information about the data associated with your use of the app.

Intended audience

GreenWallet is designed for personal use by adults managing their finances. The service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through our app, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent version.
